Records include Administrative, Strategic Plan, Self Study and Stuart Scholar files. The Administrative files cover the question of investments in South Africa, the College's Sesquicentiennial, and early drafts of the Faculty Handbook (1981-1982). The Strategic Plan files document activities from 1985 to 1995 and include minutes and reports of task forces and committees. The Self Study files cover the period 1965 to 1994, with the majority of records being from the 1974 and 1985 Self Studies. The files include minutes of individual committees, reports of offices and departments, background documentation, the final reports to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the reports of the Visiting Committees. These files provide information on the state of various departments and campus offices and the recommendations made to change them in 1965, 1974, and 1985. Included in the background documents are reports on the Reading Improvement Program, Self-Instructional Language Program, Theatre Facilities, Faculty committee assignments, and computer services. The Stuart Scholarship files contain printed materials about the scholarship.
